Focus: Harvest Festival

September is Organic Harvest Month
The Center for Agroecology & Sustainable Food Systems
hosts their annual
Harvest Festival at the UCSC Farm
Sunday, September 26
11:00am-5:00pm
The biggest open house of the year, it includes live music, great food, apple tasting, an apple pie bake-off, garden talks, hay rides, kids' events, tours, displays by local farmers, chefs, and community groups.
The event is free for Friends' members, kids 12 and under, and UCSC students with ID. Admission is $5 for the general public. Free parking and shuttle available--or ride your bike and use our bike valet service, courtesy of People Power. If your campus or community group is interested in tabling at the Harvest Festival, please fill out the online registration form. This event is supported by UCSC's Measure 43 funds, with major sponsorship by New Leaf Community Markets, Stonyfield Yogurt, with additional support from Veritable Vegetable, Jacob's Farm/Del Cabo, Glaum Egg Ranch, Companion Bakers, and Camp Joy.
