ELIGIBILITY: serves the most vulnerable children ages 0-5 and their families in Santa Cruz County, including very low-income families, English language learners, and families who live in higher risk zones of the county. | ||

| Programs: | The Santa Cruz County Integrated Children's Services Program (SCC ICSP), established by a group of 13 public and private agencies, enabling member agencies to act as a multi-disciplinary team to plan and provide services together for children and their families.
Healthy Kids of Santa Cruz County is an innovative and comprehensive program that provides health coverage to low and middle income children that reside in Santa Cruz County. Early Literacy Foundations (ELF) builds skills among early care and education professionals to promote strong literacy and language foundations for young children. Includes coursework, coaching, The Starlight Infant/Toddler Program, Raising a Reader, Summer Pre K Academy, Transition to Kindergarten and A Family Place at the Santa Cruz Public Library. Families Together provides an alternative way for Santa Cruz County to respond to reports of abuse and neglect received by Family and Children's Services. Santa Cruz Community Counseling Center (SCCCC) and HSD are the lead agencies for Families Together whose goal is to protect children from maltreatment and support healthy child development. School Readiness includes Early Care and Education (ECE), Parenting and Family Support, Health and Social Services, Schools Readiness for Children and Families and Program Infrastructure, Evaluation and Administration. Positive Parenting Program (Triple P) offers information, support and practical answers to common, everyday parenting concerns. Kit for New Parents represents a comprehensive resource for new and expecting parents that translates emerging science about the importance of the early years into practical information parents can incorporate into their daily lives. Good health, loving relationships and frequent learning opportunities are some of the topics covered. Available in both English, Spanish, Cantonese, Korean, Mandarin, and Vietnamese. | ||
