Client/Patient Hours: Monday-Friday 9:30am-2:30pm Elderday, an adult day health center founded in 1981, serves Santa Cruz County's adults and elders who need assistance with daily living tasks. The program helps participants reach and maintain their maximum level of physical, mental, emotional and social functioning by providing an opportunity for companionship, activities and professionally supervised therapies. Elderday's objective is to help participants maintain or improve their current level of functioning. A breakfast snack and a nutritious hot lunch are provided. Safe, reliable door-to-door transportation is provided in Santa Cruz County, including in lift-equipped vans. ELIGIBILITY: Functionally impaired ages 18 and over, elderly and those with dementia. For people who are striving to maintain their independence, people who are dependent upon others due to their physical impairment or mental confusion and families and caregivers needing respite from the daily responsibility and stress of caring for a loved one FEES: For those eligible, Elderday's fees are covered by Medi-Cal. Elderday also offers a sliding fee scale for private pay. Elderday has a contract with the Veterans Administration to offer the services free of charge to our Vets.
