|Description:||The Santa Cruz Women's Health center (SCWHC) is a private nonprofit primary health care and health education center operated by and for women. The center provides quality health care services for women and children in a unique setting. Our approach includes a strong commitment to health care maintenance, health education, advocacy, cultural sensitivity, affordability and personalized care.
SCWHC is currently located in downtown Santa Cruz and will be opening a second clinic in Live Oak at the East Cliff Village Shopping Center in early 2014.
SCWHC has been planning expansion to respond to growing community need and increased demand for primary care resulting from health care reform. The Live Oak clinic will be a family health and pediatrics center offering primary care for women, men, and children. In addition to adding services for men, SCWHC has partnered with Dominican Hospital to enable the new clinic to provide services for 1,600 low-income children currently served by the Dominican Hospital Pediatrics Clinic.
ELIGIBILITY: Our focus is on women and children and we welcome individuals and families of all races, classes, religions, physical abilities, cultures, ages and sexual orientations.
