| Description: | Volunteer fire department, est. 1942, offers fire protection services for house, structural, and wildland fires. Responds to emergency rescue, first aid, and medical calls. Will also respond to public services calls, such as lock outs, etc. All emergency calls go through the 911#. Permits and Plan Reviews for water tanks, sprinkler systems and underground installations are received at Zayante Fire District Station 1, call 335-5100 for more information.

| Volunteer Info: | All Zayante volunteers are medically trained, and most are certified Emergency Medical Technicians. In addition to emergency calls, volunteers also respond to non emergency calls and public service calls: Power lines down, residential flooding, pick up and put backs and hazardous conditions.
Volunteers train weekly in all areas of the fire service including firefighting, vehicle extrication, EMS, high-angle rope rescue, and hazardous material awareness. | ||
