Access exists to make reproductive health and choice a concrete reality -- not just a theoretical right -- for all women. We use a combination of direct services, community education and policy advocacy to promote real reproductive options and access to quality health care for low-income and uninsured women, young women, immigrant women and women in rural or isolated areas. No other organization in California provides the same range of support to women who are seeking or considering an abortion.

ELIGIBILITY: Women or men seeking reproductive health care.
Mission:ACCESS removes barriers to sexual and reproductive health care and builds the power of California women and girls to demand health, justice and dignity.
Programs:Access is dedicated to ensuring that every woman has the information, resources and support she needs to make the reproductive and sexual health decisions that are right for her.

The Access Hotline provides free, confidential and nonjudgmental information, referrals, peer counseling and advocacy on the full range of reproductive health services including abortion, birth control, pregnancy, prenatal care, pap smears and gyn care, infertility, and STD testing and treatment.
Volunteer Info:HealthLine: Volunteers who answer calls to our peer-based hotlines and provide reproductive health information, referrals, advocacy and peer-counseling and help organize transportation and funding assistance for our caller-partners.

Practical Support Network: Volunteers who help women obtain safe, quality abortion services by providing direct assistance-rides, overnight housing, child care, translation, etc. to help women physically make it to their appointments.

Advocacy Activists: Volunteers who will work with the Program and Policy Director to research, organize, rally, and effect actions on timely reproductive and sexual health rights issues.
