| Description: | The purpose of this program is to enable teen parents to attend and graduate from high school as parents of young children. It is a priority of this program to teach parenting through modeling and instruction. A caring close knit team of teachers assists students to engage academically, socially and emotionally in a healthy environment.
Students in the TAP Program develop a strong sense of belonging and learn to become a responsible and caring parent. In addition to learning parenting skills a high percentage of teens attain academic success because the schools expectations of students are clear, concise and realistic. ELIGIBILITY: Student mothers and fathers are eligible for the Teen Parent Program if she or he is eligible for enrollment in secondary school and is working toward the completion of a secondary education and is in need of care for an infant or toddler in order to continue with their secondary education. | ||
