| Description: | SWISH is a recreational basketball league for girls and young women in Santa Cruz County, California. The league operates from late March through early June. We have been in existence since 1997, and serve 120 girls each year.
SWISH is a 503(c) non-profit organization run by volunteers. Visit our website for more information, www.scSWISH.org ELIGIBILITY: All girls, 3rd-12th grade and young women interested in learning the skills of basketball are welcome. Financial aid is available. | ||
| Mission: | To create an organized basketball league for girls, led by women, and played in an environment where learning the strategy and skills of basketball are emphasized in balance with competition. | ||
| Programs: | During the 10 week season, the coaches work to build up the athletic skills as well as the leadership and sportsmanship of the girls and young women of SWISH—all through the fun and exciting sport of basketball.
