Description:Ag Against Hunger, a non-profit organization formed in 1990 and directed by the Monterey, San Benito and Santa Cruz County agricultural industry, collects surplus produce and distributes it to low income, hungry people in our community and throughout California.

ELIGIBILITY: Children five and up are welcome if accompanied by an adult
Mission:Ag Against Hunger's mission is to alleviate hunger by creating a connection between the agricultural community and food assistance programs.
Volunteer Info:Volunteer Gleaning: Groups of volunteers are organized to harvest high quality produce left in the fields which cannot be harvested economically or does not meet commercial standards. During April through October, volunteers should commit about 3 hours per session (includes time driving to and from field, orientation and the actual harvesting of crops). Sessions are held two Saturdays a month, and interested parties are advised to check the website to view the schedule. Check website for schedule.
