| Programs: | The John S. Strauss LOW COST SPAYING AND NEUTERING
Recently we have begun charging low-income families $40 for our formerly free spay/neuter vouchers to try to keep our program sustainable in these challenging economic times. But with your help, we'd still like to be able to provide particularly needy applicants with FREE services. For a $40 contribution, you can donate a FREE spay/neuter voucher in your name or in the name of a friend, family member or pet. This voucher will enable a deserving low-income recipient to spay a dog, cat or rabbit at no charge. Foster Family Support Fund Foster families: An important part of the Friends mission is to provide financial support for families who provide for animals whose needs can not adequately be met in confinement within the animal shelters. These animals might include nursing mothers with their litters, very young orphaned animals, or animals with unique medical needs. Second Chance Emergency Fund: This fund provides money to be used for potentially adoptable animals who need expensive health care which the Animal Services Authority can't afford. | ||
