|Description:||HADASSAH, the Women's Zionist Organization of America, was founded in 1912 by Henrietta Szold.
As the largest volunteer organization and the largest women's organization in America, Hadassah is committed to strengthening the unity of the Jewish people, as well as by advocating for issues of importance to women and to the American Jewish community.
In Israel, we support the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO), known as "the bridge to peace" for its quality care of all.
LANGUAGES OTHER THAN ENGLISH:
Our local Santa Cruz Chapter has the ability to provide information to attendees in Spanish
Hadassah members and associates pay annual dues or have a lifetime membership. Many of our programs are open to nonmembers and the general public. We do accept donations and more information about membership fees may be found on our website.
|Mission:||Hadassah is a volunteer organization that inspires a passion for and commitment to its partnership with the land and people of Israel. It enhances the health of people worldwide through its support of medical care and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization in Jerusalem. Hadassah empowers its members and supporters, as well as youth in Israel and America through opportunities for personal growth, education, advocacy and Jewish continuity.
|Programs:||The Santa Cruz Chapter of Hadassh is comprised of men and women of all backgrounds. We come together for social programs reflecting our mission statement.
|Meetings:||3rd Tuesday of most months, 1-3pm, but times and dates vary.|
