Description:HELP! provides support, education, and advocacy for anyone affected by liver disease, especially hepatitis C. The Gordons have experienced the progression of hepatitis C from having no symptoms to receiving a liver transplant. They provide patient support, community education, and public awareness through meetings, presentations, counseling, e-mail news (upon request), and other services.

HELP! collaborates with health-care providers; the VA; recovery programs; American Liver Foundation; transplant centers; organ donation proponents; and others with shared concerns. HELP!'s medical advisors include Drs. Emmet Keeffe, Lorenzo Rossaro, and Robert Gish (chiefs of hepatology, respectively, at Stanford, UC Davis, & CPMC) and Dr. Ira Jacobson, Medical Director of the Center for the Study of Hepatitis C.

Written materials are available at the 3rd-Monday Education Group on topics including liver health, hepatitis and other liver diseases (including HIV/HCV co-infection), lab tests, treatment, transplantation, and organ donation.
