| Description: | Pajaro Valley Prevention and Student Assistance (PVPSA) is a nonprofit agency dedicated to providing education, training, and counseling and prevention services to students, families, and staff of the Pajaro Valley Unified School District (PVUSD). By helping prevent criminal behavior, gang involvement, truancy, and drug, alcohol, and tobacco use, PVPSA improves the quality of life in our community and its schools.

Young people today have difficulty avoiding exposure to alcohol, tobacco, other drugs, and violence. PVPSA offers a number of programs to help youth resist those pressures and to live a healthy, substance-free life. Our programs include: Teen Pregnancy Program Drug Prevention Curriculum (K-12) Violence Prevention Education and Training Curriculum (K-12) Tobacco Prevention Curriculum (K-12) Gang Prevention Education and Awareness Bullying Prevention Education and Training Primary Intervention Program (K-3) Tobacco Policy Advocacy in treatment facilities and multi-unit housing. Parenting Workshops (Guiding Good Choices) COUNSELING: in addition to school-based counseling, quality counseling services are provided at our main office, located at 335 East Lake Ave. and at our community counseling center at 240 East Lake Ave. to hundreds of children, youth, families and adults each year. | ||
