The mission of the Department of Public Works is to protect the public health, safety, and welfare through superior engineering, maintenance, operations, and administrative services that incorporate customer service and integrity with competence and productivity for a sustained commitment to excellence. The Operations Division maintains County roads, sanitation facilities, landfill facilities, and drainage facilities. Additionally, it operates the department garage, and administers both the County Parking Project and County Service Areas. The Program Administration unit is responsible for the following: County Service Areas Formation Operation, Insurance, County Fees, Requirements for Obtaining Road Work, County Service Area Contacts and Independent Contractor Agreement Residential Street Lighting Map of Existing Residential Street Lighting District, Annexation Information, Street Light Installation Requests Live Oak Parking Program Parking Program, Parking Permit Streets, Traffic Control Device Inventory, Traffic Sign Maintenance Traffic Control Device Inventory Traffic Sign Maintenance Recorded Map Index-see website See related agencies below for additional divisions and their details. | ||
