| Description: | The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz is a youth development organization dedicated to promoting the educational, vocational, social and character development of girls and boys ages 6 to 18. The Club offers structured after school programs, special interest classes and drop in opportunities for youth and teens.
During the school year the Club is open from 2-7pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, Friday and 12:30pm -7pm, Wednesday. During holidays and vacations, we are open from 7:30am-6pm. Any variation in this schedule will be posted for parents and members well in advance. Office hours are from 9:00am-5:00pm Monday through Friday. ELIGIBILITY: Ages 6-18, no residency requirement FUNDING SOURCES: Auction, Golf Tournament, Foundations, Individual/Business donations and special events. | ||

Education and Career Development: Goals to Graduate, Money Matters, Homework Assistance, small group tutoring, Book Club, Power Hour, Computer skills development, College Awareness. Character and Leadership Development: Youth of the Year, Award Night, Torch Club, Community Service, Junior Staff. The Arts: Fine arts, crafts, woodworking, Choir, Music lessons, photography and Recyclable Art. Health and Life Skills: Cooking and nutrition classes, swim lessons, SMART Moves and SMART Girls, mentoring. Sports, Fitness and Recreation: Basketball Leagues, Karate Classes, Recreational Swim, Swimming lessons, Dodge ball league, Hiking, Fishing club, Special Events and Field Trips. The Boys & Girls Club of Santa Cruz now offers an after-school program for teens at Shoreline Middle School with the Live Oak School District and Santa Cruz County Parks and Recreation.
