| Description: | Members' dues help support Museum programs and further our mission to connect people with nature and inspire stewardship of the natural world. Our programs include both guided museum tours and hands-on environmental science education in local wild lands for school groups; lectures and classes for lifelong learners with world-class speakers, researchers, and artists; year-round families in nature events; environmentally based summer camps; and dynamic, temporary natural history exhibits as well as permanent exhibits on local native people, Santa Cruz geology, and marine and terrestrial habitats.
See volunteer information below. If you love ecology, history, or storytelling and connecting people with nature, you can become a docent with us. We provide quality educational programs to thousands of youth every year in our Museum and on local wild lands. Check the website for our next training schedule. During the school year we offer various internships to interested individuals ranging from Museum-based work with tours and education kits to working in the field at Neary Lagoon or Morgan Preserve, leading outdoor education programs. Sponsoring an event or program shows that your business values connecting people with nature. Sponsors get noticed at events, in Museum newsletters, on our website, and social media sites. ELIGIBILITY: Membership in the Association is open to the public. Annual membership fees are on a tiered scale. | ||
