The Seymour Marine Discovery Center is dedicated to educating people about the role scientific research plays in the understanding and conservation of the world's oceans. Visit a working marine laboratory. Explore the marine life of Monterey Bay. Enjoy exhibit galleries, aquarium, seawater table, touch tanks, the Ocean Discovery Shop and unsurpassed vistas of the marine sanctuary. Marvel at an 87-foot blue whale skeleton. Think like a scientist. FEES: $6.00 adults, $4.00 students, youth (4-16) and senior citizens (64+). Free for children under 4 years of age. Members and UCSC undergraduates with valid ID free | ||
| Volunteer Info: | Minimum Age: 15. Exhibit guides are trained to work in the exhibit hall and to work with live animals at our sea water table. Volunteers will learn about the wildlife in the Monterey Bay. Exhibit guides will also do hands-on presentations for the public. | ||
