| Programs: | Camp Harmon is a residential camp in Boulder Creek for children and adults with disabilities, ages 8-65. Activities include horseback riding, swimming, arts and crafts, and many others. The P.L.A.Y. Project teaches parents of young children with or at risk for autism spectrum disorders how to play with and relate to their child to help the child progress more rapidly through the typical developmental stages of early childhood. For more information, contact Stella Lauerman at 831-684-2166 ext.114 or slauerman@es-cc.org Our Autism Services also include the Early Intervention Autism Program, an intensive early intervention program for ages 0-3 designed to help build meaningful behavioral, self-help, language, communication, cognitive, fine motor, gross motor, and social and emotional skills (funded only for persons served by the San Andreas Regional Center) as well as behavior specialists who provide school/home support, parent mentors, trainings and support groups. By serving the respite needs of family members and caregivers, a less stressful home environment is enjoyed by all. These services include: one-to-one assistance, sign language interpretation, adapted physical education, occupational therapy, speech and language therapy, behavior intervention and home teaching.
