| Description: | The CONFERENCE is the grass-roots level in which the majority of us serve the poor. In emergencies we bring financial aid, food, and referrals, without judging.
The DISTRICT COUNCIL is a grouping of conferences for the purpose of maintaining spiritual unity and communication within a geographical area. The Santa Cruz District Council was formed in 1969 as a non-profit corporation which joins together all of the conferences within Santa Cruz County. ELIGIBILITY: Anyone in need. Call, leave address and phone number on machine. FEES: None with pre-authorized voucher. FUNDING SOURCE: Most Conferences are funded through special Sunday collections held four times per year in their parishes. These funds are typically returned to local needy families. The Council raises funds through the operation of three thrift stores in the county. | ||
