| Description: | The Katz Cancer Resource Center is staffed by
full-time oncology nurses and provides access to information and services relating to all aspects of cancer care and management. Individuals with cancer and their families are encouraged to set up a one-on-one appointment with a KCRC oncology nurse to design a personalized program for support, education and guidance. | Programs: | Gentle Yoga Before, During and After Cancer Treatments: stretching, yoga and relaxation to help ease discomfort. every Monday of the month at 1:30pm in Room D. and every Friday of the month at 1:30 p.m. in Room D.
Chemo 101: is a class to help cancer patients and families understand and cope with changes during chemotherapy and radiation treatment. Creative Expression Through Art: Making art to express one's journey through cancer can be healing, inspiring and transforming. Requires no art experience. Third Wednesday, 11:30am-1pm. For more information call 462-7770 Look Good Feel Better: A program to help women undergoing cancer treatment look their best. Licensed cosmetologists teach women how to enhance their appearance. Learn how to choose a wig, wrap turbans and scarves and manage skin and nail changes. Second Monday of the month 10:00am-12:00pm. Eating Well Through Cancer Guidance for Patients & Families: Drop-in meeting for patients and families. Learn ways to eat during cancer treatment that can help in the recovery process, how to establish nutritional goal, stay hydrated and cope with changes in appetite. Cancer Survivorship: Life Coaching Group 6 Sessions This class will provide support, coaching, mind-body practices and tools to discover living your life to the fullest. Materials provided.
