Hotel Hagemann on Pacific Avenue. The 1896 book, <cite>Santa Cruz County</cite>, remarked, "No better table is set at the high-priced hotels than the table at the Hagemann, and yet the charge is but twenty-five cents, or two bits, as the Californian almost always expresses it."
