Passengers on horsecars #2 and #5 of the Pacific Avenue Street Railroad westbound on the Esplanade, the present-day Beach Street. People are walking on the boardwalk, and gathering on the beach. The track behind the streetcar track is a standard gauge steam railroad track. The Neptune Bath building and a free museum are visible in the background.
